O5 Apparel is an industry leader in the clothing business. Their brand portfolio includes Tahari, DKNY, Lee, Izod, Eddie Bauer, Weatherproof, etc. I was brought on to work on the American license of the renowned British label, Ben Sherman. The goal was to design and reinterpret styles that fit the market in the US. I did this by immersing myself with the heritage of the brand and corresponding with their UK office about trends in color stories, fabrics, and trims to execute cohesive collections. I maintained the design boards, linesheets, and tearsheets to facilitate workflow. I generated, managed,and updated detailed tech packs for sampling and production. I gave presentations on designs to the team and key cross-functional partners. I tracked development samples to make sure they were received in a timely manner. I set up and merchandised the showroom to ensure styles looked elevated, yet stayed true to the brand. Coming from a more ready-to-wear/streetwear background in Los Angeles, it was an amazing opportunity to learn more about classic shirting, sweaters, tailoring details, etc.
