O5 Apparel is an industry leader in the clothing business. Their brand portfolio includes Chaps, Quiksilver, DKNY, Land's End, Lee, Izod, Wrangler, etc. I was brought on to work on the American license of the renowned British label, Ben Sherman. The goal was to design and reinterpret styles that fit the full0-price, off-price, and clubs markets in the US. I did this by immersing myself with the heritage of the brand and corresponding with their UK office about trends in color stories, fabrics, and trims to execute cohesive collections. I maintained the design boards, linesheets, and tearsheets to facilitate workflow. I generated, managed,and updated detailed tech packs for sampling and production. I gave presentations on designs to the team and key cross-functional partners. I tracked development samples to make sure they were received in a timely manner. I set up and merchandised the showroom to ensure styles looked elevated, yet stayed true to the brand. Coming from a more ready-to-wear/streetwear background in Los Angeles, it was an amazing opportunity to learn more about classic shirting, sweaters, tailoring details, etc.
