Because so much of my academic career and early work experience was focused on womenswear, I was very curious about the world of menswear. Litany is a collection based on today's "industrial chic" style. With my extensive experience in womenswear, I thought it would be interesting to introduce elements of womenswear into menswear such as cut-outs, capes, draping, high slits, etc. I also wanted to keep an easygoing vibe with loose silhouettes and elements of loungewear. Meticulous choices in fabrics, trims, and shapes were important details that I wanted to evoke the undercurrent of this collection, which is a rugged sense of elegance.
