MJC International specializes in loungewear and accessories for a variety of retailers in the US. As a Pre-production Associate, I had to pay more attention to details, communication, and logistics because I was now on the production side of things. I had to talk to designers for their approvals, make approval comments on samples, compare samples to artwork, work with the licensing team for branded products, communicate with factories throughout the manufacturing process, and check purchase orders with shipping information all under tight deadlines. Working here was an eye-opening experience because it was like witnessing all the things that went on behind a show. If there were any mistakes/changes made during sampling, you had to come up with solutions before production.
